Concept: Womanhood and especially womanhood and being Kurdish are the inspiration behind most of my paintings. Sometimes appearances are the expression of deep grief. Sometimes a deep thought has prevailed on them. In light of the structure of working, they are close to the style of Expressionism. I have chosen this style because it is very similar to my personality. The more liberated the style is with art strains, the more authentic the product that is created. It is the exact same from a technical perspective as well. I make use of divergent materials and do not place myself amidst a certain framework. In this painting, I have used Pashmina fabric for the woman’s attire, which has been worn by Kurdish women from a very early time
Whenever I ponder upon my grandmother and my childhood, I recall this fabric that colors my memories. What has made this painting so special and dear to my heart is that I have used my mother’s dress for the figure..
