Lolav Izat Ibrahim Piro
Lolav Izat Ibrahim Piro (Lolav Piro) is a humanitarian worker, academic artist, and custom shoe designer . Born on 1995 in Duhok, Kurdistan Drawing and painting at the age of 5 years old,
Lolav decided to make it a profession and enlisted in the Duhok University’s Plastic Arts department, and successfully completed it. Throughout Lolav’s life, she has enjoyed experimenting various forms of art movements and using different styles and techniques such as expressionism, abstract, acrylic pouring, cityscapes, and figurative art. Even though she keeps experimenting the various arts, her favorite is expressionism movement using oil colors.
Lolav has participated in yearly art exhibitions of her elementary, middle, and high school. She has also participated in an art exhibition that was produced by her along with 3 other artists in 2013. Additionally, Lolav participated in yearly art exhibitions of her university department, and successfully completed her final year’s art project with the title of “Mental Beings” expressing mental illnesses and stigmas, specifically, depression. And at the moment, Lolav is currently working on further developing her project on mental illnesses and stigmas. The project is still at the beginning stage and the whole project is expected to be completed for display in 2025.
